We currently live in a very small town in Texas & I am looking forward to living in a more populated area, I don't love big city, but I need shopping/entertainment close by (live music Friday or Saturday night would be bonus) & good schools. So I'm hoping for opinions on which area may suit us better? Currently I like very little about where I live, I guess the best thing is the schools are highly rated.

I hate the distance to decent shopping (we only have a walmart) and 40 min to a movie theater, no good Chinese food. Also the 13 mile long RIVER WALK path Photo This will even be expanded on the South side of City..No Dunkin Donuts, ok now I'm just getting picky So should we move to Chattanooga, am I right that the commute for my husband would be 25 min? Any house ownership south of Hixson Rt #153 should also have city taxes added on to valuation I believe. I-75 goes right past , however the daily traffic & Big Rigs on direct route to Atlanta may have slow down & accident delays.Friday night is Free Night Fall concert series at Miller Park & street food / drink vendors, also known as Bike night & street parking. Have Super BI-LO grocers ,which earn rewards points for Car gasoline purchase like up to 50 cents each GAL for fill up .Photo Course the biggest musinc is Mid June NINE night RIVERBEND head liner concert event & fireworks. Recent additions were PUBLIX chain out of south Florida...Photo Chicago will be very cold compared with Texas.. Just to the South across Georgia line & thus lower Sales tax is member club mega COSCO .... I'm hoping for some help concerning where to live if a potential job offer turns into an actual job offer Recently we came very close to moving to Chicago & I am thankful we didn't, I wasn't thrilled about that plan because politically I would have struggled finding like minded individuals to socialize with. Please register to participate in our discussions with 1.5 million other members - it's free and quick!

Husband is interviewing with a company located in Cleveland.

Should be mid 60's this weekend & flowers & Trees in bloom. July & early Aug will make you feel right at home with heat .. Sunday & local pop up Farmers outdoor markets also for food / vegtables. Husband is interviewing with a company located in Cleveland.

I dislike very much the lack of sidewalks for a daily walk, the lack of social opportunities for SAHM's.

I hate the distance to decent shopping (we only have a walmart) and 40 min to a movie theater, no good Chinese food. Look into the East Brainerd (37421) side of Chattanooga.
